Sophomore (2005-06): Named Honorable Mention All-America by The Associated Press, and was a First Team All-Conference USA selection. Named to NABC All-District 7 Second Team. Was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which recognizes the nation’s top point guard. Finished second on the team in scoring (13.4 ppg) and assists (3.1 apg). Posted first career double-double with 22 points and 10 assists against Gonzaga. Scored a season-high 26 points against UAB. Selected as a Naismith Award midseason candidate. Ranked fifth in Conference USA in free throw shooting (.783).

Freshman (2004-05): One of the top freshman in the country, was named to several national All-Freshman teams, including Rivals.com, CollegeInsider.com, The Sporting News and Basketball Times. Named Conference USA Freshman of the Year. Named Third Team All Conference USA. Ranked second the team in scoring (15.4 ppg). Led team in assists (3.8 apg) and steals (1.7 spg). Scored in double figures 42 times. Shot 46 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 73 percent from the line.

Strengths: Strong body, quick first step and excellent body control allow him to get into the lane for scoring opportunities. Tough competitor with good leadership qualities. Improving outside shooter.

Personal: Member of National Honor Society at Edgewater High School. Father, Darius Sr., played his collegiate basketball at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis. Related to Chucky Atkins of the Memphis Grizzlies. In addition to basketball, his other favorite form of recreation is kickball.
