Originally an early entry candidate for the 2005 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration. Participated in the 2005 NBA Pre-Draft Camp in Chicago. Redshirted as a freshman in 2001-02.

Career Highlights: First player in school history to surpass 1,500 points, 500 assists and 500 rebounds in a career. Third player in school history to win 20-plus games in each of his four seasons, and also the third to compete in four consecutive NCAA Tournaments.

Senior (2005-06): All-Big East Second Team selection and finalist for the Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award for the second consecutive season. Named Honorable Mention All-America by The Associated Press. Averaged 16.0 points and 4.8 assists. Scored a career-high 32 points against Syracuse. Had 17 points and six rebounds against Bradley in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Junior (2004-05): All-Big East Second Team selection and finalist for the Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award. Ranked 21st in NCAA Division I and third in the Big East in assists (5.9 apg). Finished seventh in the league in scoring (16.0 ppg), 11th in free throw percentage (.750) and seventh in steals (1.8 spg). Notched six 20-plus scoring games and reached double figure scoring in 25 of 29 games. Scored 27 points (5-for-10 on threes) in 40 minutes in NCAA First Round vs. Pacific.

Sophomore (2003-04): Earned All-Big East Second Team and AP All-America Honorable Mention honors. Big East Most Improved Player Award. Led the Panthers in scoring (15.4 ppg) and assists (145) on the season. Finished 15th in the Big East in scoring, ninth in free throw percentage (.777), and fourth in assists (4.5 apg). Scored double figures in 26 games.

Freshman (2002-03): Played in 32 games and reached double figures in eight contests. His 93 assists ranked as the fourth-best single-season total all-time among Pitt freshmen. Averaged 6.0 points in 18.0 minutes in three Big East Tournament games.

Strengths: Good size for the point and has the ability to get into the lane and make plays. Plays passing lanes well on defense and likes to push tempo. Loves to compete and plays extremely hard.

Personal: Owns a 2-0 record as an amateur boxer but gave it up to concentrate on basketball. Plays in New York City’s Rucker League during the summers. Son of Joy Mays and Mario Krauser. Majored in legal studies.
